To simplify your first visit, please fill out our New Patient Form* online prior to your appointment or arrive 10 minutes early to fill it out in the office.
*IMPORTANT: Any form submitted by email must be encrypted, to ensure it is secure. By submitting an unencrypted email form, you are consenting to an unsecured email. Alternatively, please print off the form, complete it, and bring it to our office.
Initial Examination
To begin, your dentist will review your medical and dental history and complete a comprehensive dental exam which includes a detailed examination of your teeth, bite, jaw and gums, x-rays, and an oral cancer screening.
Treatment Plan
Your dentist will create a long-term dental treatment plan for you based on your examination and history. There will also be time allotted for you to ask any questions you may have about your dental health and treatment options.

- How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us. Please notify us about any change in plans as soon possible, so another patient can use the space in our schedule.
Any cancellations or changes made with less than 2 full business days notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, unless due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances at the discretion of the clinic.
- Do you offer appointment reminders?
In the days before your appointment, you will receive a text and/or email reminder from us. We may call if these options are not available or a response has not been received. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to let us know.
- Does your clinic have on-site parking?
Yes, all of our patients have access to free on-site parking. We are also easily accessible by public transit.
Insurance & Financing
At Vic West Dentistry, we'll help you navigate our options for payment, direct billing to insurance companies and financing so you can focus on getting the dental care you need.
- Direct Billing to Insurance
For your convenience, we are happy to offer direct billing for most insurance plans. We can submit your insurance claim electronically, which leads to faster reimbursement, without the requirement for signatures or paper forms.
Our administrative team can help you understand your insurance plan better, as well as send estimates to your insurance company before starting any major treatments.
Please bring your insurance plan information to your appointment.
- Payment Methods
Any co-pays or amounts not covered by insurance are your responsibility, and must be paid at the time of your appointment.
We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit or most major credit cards.
Support for Anxious Patients
