At Vic West Dentistry, we leverage technology to help inform treatment planning and ensure your dental appointments run smoothly. Since we can display digital scans and x-rays on monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth, and guide you through your custom treatment plan.

Panoramic X-Rays
With panoramic x-rays, your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints, and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic x-rays are often used to help plan treatments for dentures, braces, implants and extractions.
Intraoral Scanners
Using intraoral scanners, we can create digital dental impressions, an ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions that can be messy and time consuming. An optical scanning wand is used to take a digital image of your teeth within minutes. The scanner allows your dentist to gather highly accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
Digital X-Rays
In place of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays use digital sensors to produce highly detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to see parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
